An annual license is required for any dog over the age of six months. Licenses are renewable in January of each year. A fee of $10 is charged for any dog that has been neutered or spayed; the charge is $16 if the dog has not been neutered or spayed. Proof of rabies vaccination and spaying/neutering is required. Licenses may be purchased at the cashier's window in the Municipal Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings. Additionally, requests for licenses can be mailed by sending in the proof of rabies vaccine and proof of spaying/neutering if applicable, as well as a check made out to West Deptford Township in the amount mentioned above based on the animal's spay/neuter information.
A free rabies clinic for dogs and cats is held in the spring of each year.
