Proper Disposal of Paint

Latex Paint must be allowed to dry, or the container filled with kitty litter/sand to absorb all the paint. Another technique is to pour the latex-based paint into a paper box or bag filled with absorbent material like shredded newspaper to speed drying. When the paint is dry or totally absorbed, the container should be placed out with the trash for pickup. The lid must be off of the can to ensure the safety of our workers. Do not place large quantities of paint cans out for disposal.
