Branches/Brush/Yard Debris
- Branches should be kept within 6 ft. lengths and placed neatly at the curb for pick-up.
- Our brush truck runs daily to service over 8,000 households in the Township.
- During peak cleanup seasons, we collect over 100 yards of brush daily.
- Extensive brush and tree removal that required special equipment or hired contractors should be removed by the contractor, not placed at the curb.
Brush, branches, and yard debris will continue to be collected curbside by our Brush Truck.
Grass clippings may be placed inside your 95-gallon trash cart for disposal.
GRASSCYCLING
Grass clippings are a major part of New Jersey's municipal solid waste stream. In fact, grass clippings make up nearly a third of all summer waste handled by garbage haulers.
STEPS TO GRASSCYCLING
* Cut only the top 1/3 of the grass blade and leave the clippings right on the lawn.
* Mow when the grass is dry to avoid tracking and clumping.
* Keep your mower blade sharp.
* No Special equipment necessary. While mulching mowers are available, and do a fantastic job,
ANY conventional mower can grasscycle. Just remove the bag. In the case of rear discharge mower, the exhaust chute must be shut off. Adapter kits or retro-fit kits are available for conventional mowers for about $20.00.
