Safety Town

Safety Town is an important element of the Township’s Summer Recreation Program.
Children registered to enter kindergarten in the fall can participate in a comprehensive accident prevention and awareness program. The two-week program teaches children the hazards associated with fire, poison, strangers, playgrounds, animals and traffic. Safety activities are conducted in an indoor classroom, supplemented by a setting consisting of a miniature town complete with buildings, streets, and crosswalks.
