Delaware River Chemical Spill

West Deptford Township officials are aware of the chemical spill that occurred in one of the tributaries of the Delaware River.
One of our sources, New Jersey American Water, treats water from the Delaware River.

New Jersey American Water currently has not detected the contaminate in the water supply, but as a precaution have been periodically shutting down operations. West Deptford is currently delivering 100% of the water to your tap from our own groundwater sources which are not affected by this chemical spill.

The Township is in constant communication with New Jersey American and all relevant government officials regarding the situation. We will update you on any change in the situation.
