The mission of the West Deptford Emergency Medical Services is to provide care, treatment, and transportation of sick and injured residents, visitors and workers of West Deptford Township. In 2004, they responded to 1945 calls and are on a path to exceed that in 2005. In addition, they provide mutual aid services to many of our neighborhood municipalities. They are a committed organization made up of paid and volunteer members who train diligently to bring you quality care and treatment. Each ambulance call is staffed by no less than two Certified Emergency Medical Technicians.
West Deptford Emergency Medical Services sponsors an EMS Explorer Post consisting of young adults between the ages of 12 and 18. Their mission is to learn and develop their basic life skills in preparation for careers and/or volunteering in the EMS field. Please feel free to stop by either of the two WDEMS stations on Grove Road or Hessian Avenue to talk to the members.
