At the beginning of every summer, the Township provides a six-week Summer Recreation Program for Township children ages 6, or have completed kindergarten, to 14. The Summer Recreation Program is hosted at the West Deptford Middle School and features various indoor and outdoor activities, arts and crafts, a computer lab, daytrips and sports clinics. Participation is limited to West Deptford Township residents only!

The Township's six-week Summer Recreation Program offers township children ages 6, or have completed kindergarten, to 14, sports clinics, arts and crafts instruction, and educational day trips, as well as bowling, roller skating and golf outings.

In conjunction with the summer program, the West Deptford Junior Woman’s Club offers “Safety Town,” an accident prevention and awareness program for five-year-olds.
